George P. Marine Obituary
AGE: 95 • formerly of Kennett Square & Centerville
George P. Marine, 95, formerly from Kennett Square and Centerville, DE, passed away at Seasons Hospice on Friday, September 25th.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Kavanaugh Marine, and his son, Gary G. Marine.
He is survived by his sisters, Julia and Barbara; sons, Alan Marine and his wife Cathy of Wilmington, and Bruce Marine and his wife Annette of Rehoboth Beach, and daughter-in-law Mimi of Chadds Ford. Seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
George was a successful businessman in Wilmington; owner of Delaware Boiler Inc. He was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, and loved going to casinos to play blackjack and slot machines.
He touched many, many people with his generosity and sense of humor, and will be dearly missed by his family and his friends at Ingleside Senior Apartments, in Wilmington DE, where he last resided.
George did not want a funeral and, therefore, his burial will be private. However, we will be having a celebration of his life, at a later date, at which time we will notify family members and friends.
